The term "urinary tract" refers to a system that includes all the organs involved in the production, storage and elimination of urine. This includes two kidneys which produce the urine, ureters which transport it from the kidney to the bladder where it is stored temporarily until it is eliminated through the urethra. The urinary tract also comprises of the adrenal glands and the male reproductive system in case of males as they have a separate system for producing semen.
