After you complete the installation of both files you should return to the main
custom Recovery menu.
Once you have wiped all, return to the
main recovery menu and tap on «Install zip from SD card».
Within a few seconds, you'll be greeted by Android's
stock recovery menu — from here, use the volume down button to highlight «Apply update from ADB,» then press the power button to select it.
7) Hold power and tap volume up at the green android screen to get the
BLUE recovery menu.
Wait for the update to complete and when it's done you will need to select «+ + Go Back + +» and then you will see the cwm
recovery menu again.
Third - party software that replaces the stock
Android recovery menu, adding the ability to install modification packages (flashable ZIPs), create NANDroid backups (see below), and install custom ROMs (see below).
You'll need Magisk Manager or a
custom recovery menu such as TWRP to get it working, but assuming you meet one of those prerequisites, you're good to go.
Android's
stock recovery menu can be replaced with a custom recovery (see above) to allow for additional actions such as flashing (see above) ZIPs and custom ROMs (see above), or performing a NANDroid backup (see above).
If none of that scares you, you can download the full ROM from the corresponding OnePlus forum post and flash it via the OnePlus 5T's
system recovery menu.
I tried resetting through
the recovery menu and that did nothing I haven't reset through the pin hole yet cuss I don't have anything small enough to fit
Next return to
the recovery menu («+ + + go back + + +») and select «install zip from sd card» followed by «choose zip from sd card».
After the installation completes, reboot the phone by selecting «Reboot system» from
the recovery menu.
Browse through
the recovery menu and select the «AOKP Jelly Bean build 2» file for installation.
When
the recovery menu is showed you will have wipe all data first.
Backup your Android tablet or phone's files, and make sure you have at least one custom ROM on your SD, just in case something goes wrong, and you need to install that one again, so Android works again, or just use
the recovery menu to backup your OS there.
When it is complete you can return to the main
recovery menu.
Return to the main
recovery menu, tap on «Install zip from SD card» and then choose the ROM ZIP file that you had transferred to your device's storage and flash it to install the ROM.
See if it is starting normally, or you may need to hold it for 40 seconds to go into
the recovery menu.
From
the recovery menu, you first have to apply a complete wipe; just select «wipe data factory reset» followed by «wipe cache partition» and «wipe dalvik cache».
Wait for the CWM
recovery menu to load.
After the installation is complete you will have to go back to the main
recovery menu and then select «reboot system now».
2) Press the Volume + button, and
the recovery menu will appear.
Release the buttons when the custom
Recovery menu appears.
Also, you can use
the recovery menu for restoring the stock ROM if needed (only if you previously made a Nandroid backup).
So, use
the recovery menu and select «backup and restore».
When both AOKP JB build 5 and Google Apps for Jelly Bean are installed, you can return to the main CWM
Recovery menu.
So, go ahead and use
the recovery menu for making Nandroid backups, for installing custom ROMs firmware or for making other complex and powerful operations.
You will have to return to the main
recovery menu and then tap on «Install zip from SD card» to choose the ROM ZIP file from your smartphone's internal memory.
Restart the device from
the recovery menu and then wait until it performs its first boot.
Now, by using
the recovery menu select «wipe data factory reset», «wipe cache partition» and «Wipe Dalvik Cache» (it is a good idea to backup the data before applying this step).
