Diabetic refers to a person who has diabetes, which is a chronic condition that affects how the body regulates blood sugar (glucose). There are two main types of diabetes - Type 1 and Type 2. In Type 1 diabetes, the pancreas produces little or no insulin, so people with this type need to take insulin injections to regulate their blood sugar levels.
