A digital camera is an electronic device that captures and stores images in a digital format. It uses an image sensor, such as a charge-coupled device (CCD), to convert light into electrical signals which are then processed by a microprocessor and stored on a memory card or other storage medium. Unlike traditional film cameras, which use chemicals to develop the captured images, digital cameras display the captured image instantly on an LCD screen for review and allow users to edit and share their photos easily through computer software.
