An election ballot refers to a paper or electronic document that is used by voters in an electoral process. It lists the names and/or symbols of candidates, along with instructions on how to cast your vote for each position being contested. The ballot also includes any proposed measures or initiatives that may be up for consideration. Voting booths are often set up so that a voter can mark their choice privately by filling in an oval next to the candidate's name, and then submitting the completed ballot into a counting machine.
