Definition of «euthanize»

Euthanasia is a term used to describe the act of intentionally ending someone's life in order to relieve them from pain and suffering. The word comes from two Greek words, “eu” which means good and “thanatosis” meaning death. Euthanasia can be done with or without consent depending on the circumstances. In some cases it is seen as a compassionate act while others view it as murder. It’s an emotional topic that has been debated for many years, with different countries having varying laws and attitudes towards euthanasia.
