A gestational carrier is a woman who agrees to carry a pregnancy for another person or couple. This means that she will be artificially inseminated with the intended father's sperm and/or donor sperm, and then carry the baby to term. The child born through this process is considered the biological child of the intended parents, even though the gestational carrier provided the physical means for the pregnancy to occur. This option is often used when a woman is unable to carry her own pregnancy due to medical reasons or infertility issues.
