Gross Output refers to the total value of goods and services produced by a particular industry or sector, without accounting for intermediate inputs. It is calculated as the sum of all value added generated within an economy at a given level of production, usually expressed in current prices. Gross Output can be used as an alternative measure of economic activity when traditional measures such as gross domestic product (GDP) are not sufficient to capture the full range of economic activities occurring within an economy.
