Infectious mastitis is a condition where a person's breast tissue becomes infected. It causes swelling, pain, and redness in the breast, and can be accompanied by flu-like symptoms such as fever and body aches. It commonly occurs in breastfeeding women, but can also happen to non-breastfeeding individuals.
