The term lymphatic refers to something related to or associated with the lymphatic system, which is a part of the body's immune system. The lymphatic system consists of a network of vessels and nodes that help maintain fluid balance in the body by collecting excess fluids and returning them to the bloodstream. It also plays an important role in fighting off infections by filtering out foreign particles, bacteria, and viruses through its nodes. The lymphatic system is made up of various organs such as the thymus, spleen, tonsils, adenoids, and the main vessels known as lymphatics which include the right lymphatic duct, thoracic duct, left lymphatic duct, and the cisterna chyli.
