Mentorship refers to a relationship between an experienced individual (the mentor) and a less-experienced person (the mentee), in which the former provides guidance, support, and advice to help the latter develop skills, knowledge or expertise. The goal of mentorship is usually professional development, personal growth, or both. Mentors can offer valuable insights into their field, share their experiences, and provide connections that can be beneficial for a mentee's career advancement. In return, the mentee brings fresh perspectives, new ideas, and enthusiasm to the relationship.
