Oceanographic refers to anything related to the study or exploration of the ocean. It can describe a branch of science that studies the physical and biological aspects of the sea, including its physical properties such as temperature, salinity, currents, waves, tides, and weather patterns; as well as marine life, geology, and ecology. Oceanography is an interdisciplinary field that combines knowledge from chemistry, physics, geology, biology, meteorology, and other disciplines to understand the complex interactions between the ocean and the Earth's atmosphere.
