A pure electric vehicle, also known as an all-electric vehicle or EV, is a type of automobile that runs solely on electrical power. It uses one or more electric motors to move and does not rely on any other source of energy such as gasoline or diesel fuel. The electricity required by the motor can be stored in rechargeable batteries which are charged through an external power source, typically via charging ports located along the vehicle's body. Pure electric vehicles produce zero emissions and have become increasingly popular due to their environmental benefits as well as advancements in battery technology that allow for longer driving ranges between charges.
