Definition of «revaccination»

Revaccination refers to the process of administering a vaccine again to an individual who has already been previously vaccinated. It is usually done as a precautionary measure, especially in cases where the immunity from the previous vaccination may have worn off or if there are concerns about the effectiveness of the initial vaccination. Revaccination can also be necessary when an individual has not responded adequately to the first round of vaccinations and requires additional doses for optimal protection against a particular disease.
