I'm not an expert, and the paper includes lots of hand - wavy calculations for total amounts of CO2 and CH4 released through rice - farming and deforestation - reforestation — but I find it hard to beleive that the amounts are so trivial as to be negligible for climate purposes. (realclimate.org)
