Councilmember Cheh has introduced a bill before the Council which calls for the banning of the sale and use of gasoline powered leaf blowers in the District of Columbia effective January 1, 2022. (carbonpricedc.org)
And since I consider human - powered devices to very nearly be alternative energy devices in an age when sweeping a few leaves from the sidewalk seems to require a gas - powered leaf blower in my neighborhood, I feel justified. (treehugger.com)
