are new to
vegan recipes and don't
have any
vegan mayo
around.
In 2012, I started working on a cookbook of my own; and even though it
has temporarily
been put on hold, I plan on finishing it this year as well as working on more things centered
around Vegan Yack Attack - that I know you'll love.
I
've been playing
around with ways to make my favorite local Hawaii foods

i never truly realized and appreciated how lucky i
am to
have vegan friendly places all
around me until i travelled to paris.
But, it
would be a crime not to share this green smoothie

around the food blogosphere lately (sticky buns, anyone?)
Modifications
were: - used traditional oats because I didn't
have quick cook, just gave them a quick zap in the Nutribullet and kept 1/4 cup unground for texture - omitted hemp seeds because I don't
have those - unsweetened applesauce instead of bananas (love bananas but wanted my blueberries to
have center stage)- I
'm not
vegan so I used 2 medium eggs - replaced 1 tbsp peanut butter with mayo (love peanut butter but not necessarily mixed with other flavors)- threw in maybe 1/2 tsp chia seeds just for grins Baking time
was right
around 35 minutes in a 8 × 8 Pyrex baking dish and I left them to cool all day and cut them into 9 bars this evening.
The past two weeks of recipe development for me
have been ALL
around making an Edible Gluten - free,
Vegan Cookie Dough.
Vegan Banana Pumpkin Bread
is a great treat that
is extra moist and full of flavor, plus if you still
have loads of pumpkin puree lying
around (like I do) then you may enjoy adding it to this bread to give it that extra flavor and loads of vitamin A!
The
Vegan Pumpkin Dip
is super simple to make and it
has been a big hit
around here for dipping fresh apple slices!
I think it
would be neat to make traditional recipes from
around the world, but alter them to make them healthier or
vegan.

It seemed like a great idea at first: there wasn't a whole lot of

've decided to take part in Veganuary) and very quick and easy to make, these cakes, muffins, loaf, cookies and puddings
are delicious and nourishing treats; less heavy than all those pies and puddings
around at Christmas, but certainly just as tasty, fulfilling any cravings if you
're trying to slightly curb your cake - enthusiasm a little after the festive - excess!

is the only chocolate cake recipe that I use, as it accommodates my mothers nut, dairy and soy allergies, as well as my father in laws heart health (and people
are always pleasantly surprised when I tell them its
vegan) While I do like to add and exchange things to the cake so it alters the flavour I
have never played
around with the ganache (typically I make cupcakes and
have only made the ganache twice).
