Last year I said that I expected the Premium Economy
cabin to be laid out in a 2
-3-2 setup similar to how the airline's A330 - 300 aircraft is set up but, according to AUBT, Cathay Pacific has squeezed in another seat to make it a 2 -4-2
layout just like on their 777 - 300ERs.
The
cabin will hold just 21 seats set out over three rows in a 2
-3-2 layout.
That's actually good news for those in the Economy class
cabin because the airline hasn't yet squeezed and extra seat into every row but it also means that the aircraft has the very old «angle - flat» business class seat in a 2
-3-2 layout:

The 42 - seat business class
cabin will offer aisle access for all the seats in the

layout while the 28 seats in the Premium Economy
cabin will be in a 2
-3-2 layout.

-3-2 layout so, if you're traveling as a couple you're definitely better off in the seats on the side of the aircraft.
However, the main business class
cabin is arranged in a subpar 2
-3-2 layout.

For even more comfort, there is a Premium Economy
cabin (confusingly called «ScootBiz») in a 2
-3-2 layout and with a 38in pitch.
While it's sold as business class, I'd consider it a Premium Economy
cabin, with reclining leather seats in a 2
-3-2 layout with 38in seat pitch.
The
cabin is in a 2
-3-2 layout, as opposed to the 3 -3-3
layout in economy, so the premium economy seat is wider in addition to the extra 6 or 7 inches of legroom.
Seats are 19 inches wide with 38 inches of pitch (vs. 33 - 34 inches in Main
Cabin Extra) in a 2
-3-2 layout.

cabin has fully - flat seats that offer 72 inches of pitch in a 2
-3-2 layout - nice but it means that some unlucky passengers may still get stuck in a middle seat.
