There's a reason it looks like
a 1980s VCR (of which I don't mind at all, honestly).

When it comes to the electronics (all standard equipment, by the way), the graphics of the 7 - inch touchscreen interface aren't very inviting, while the electronic clock looks like something from a
VCR of the
1980s.
Blockbuster, in the business of renting movies (on
VCR cassettes and later DVDs) from its stores, was a profitable business from the late
1980s to the mid-2000s.
And then beyond that I really like the reference to the
VCR, which of course came of age in the
1980s as well.
