Ever since I first experienced
3D graphics on the PSP, one of my biggest dreams for
handheld gaming has been the concept of portable PlayStation 2
titles.
Now, Resident Evil: Revelations is perhaps the biggest
title on the
3DS so far — presented on a higher capacity game cartridge than other
3DS titles, it's a fully - fledged Resident Evil game on a
handheld.
With
handheld consoles becoming more able to replicate the
3D visuals and gameplay associated with home consoles, we are seeing more and more series incorporate
handheld titles into their main series canon, rather than providing spin - off distractions that could often be ignored without missing any big developments in the series.
The
3DS has already been demonstrating its power in terms of
3D gameplay — with
titles such as Zelda: Ocarina of Time
3D literally porting a
3D console
title (albeit an old one) to the
handheld format with better graphics than the original, and Resident Evil: The Mercenaries

3DS some concessions had to be made in order to make the game more
handheld friendly, and these changes limit the appeal of the game to a very specific audience.

The fuzziness that sneaks its way into many Nintendo
3DS titles is of course here, but the colourful charm and vibrant nature we've become accustomed to in 1st party Nintendo
handheld titles is no exception in Mario Party: The Top 100.
Though it is fill with a lot of mindless action and only enough writing to drive the story forward Spider - Man Edge of Time is a completely worthy
3DS title that wouldn't be misplaced in any player's collection of
handheld games.
