I have always played
3D games this way, and after nearly two decades of pulling the
analog stick down to look up, I am not going to rewire my brain simply for this one game, no matter how unique or compelling it is.

Once they get old enough to figure the whole two
analog -
stick control scheme (or mouse - keyboard combo for PC enthusiasts) for moving about in a
3D space, Minecraft is like kiddie crack.

3D controls tightly once you get used to it; unlike the Wii version, there's no gimmicks or waggle here, just buttons, and you can choose between using the
analog stick and the + D - pad.
But there's really no other way around it — there's no other setup that could have been a better control scheme no matter how you look at it unless the
3DS had dual
analog sticks, and then you wouldn't even need the stylus.
This simplicity seems to be the core from which Titan Souls» gameplay draws from, with only two buttons to sprint, roll and fire your arrow, alongside fully
3D controls with the
analog stick or D - pad.
Games like Galaxy on Fire 2 and Air Wings Intergalactic work better in the sense that they accept the D - pad's
analog inputs, so you don't need to press it so hard; but they'd still work better an actual
analog stick, since using even a D - pad to control a ship moving in
3D space is awkward, even if it's an
analog D - pad.
Not only will this exclusive port only work with the new
3DS model, it will also take full advantage of the C -
Stick analog stick and
Stick analog stick and
stick and more.
