3DS games shown at this year's E3 seem to be coming out sometime during September, and it'd make quite a bit of sense in general for this title to come out just a month before halloween.
All of the Nintendo Spotlight was focused on Switch titles — the only
3DS game shown was Fire Emblem Warriors, which will undoubtedly be pushed more on the Switch.
And I already knew about
every 3DS game shown that I actually cared about, to the point I was already planning to buy Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon / Paper Mario Sticker Star / New Super Mario Bros 2 without being prompted.

Guys we should stop buying
3ds games until they release new leaf to
show that this is unacceptable.

games combined have sold nearly 1.3 million in their week since release,
showing that the Nintendo
3DS and Pokemon are still strong in Japan, despite newer
games like Yokai Watch using a similar formula.
I would love it if they made a crossover
game that could be a
3d platformer or mash up of some sort
show it off as a Mario
game than bam they add in Kirby or something through a figure.

showing how fans of the genre were starved for new titles.

The
game shows its age in some of its stage design, where claustrophobic corridors only really function as easily loadable sections that the
3DS could quickly render.
With Super Mario
3D World and The Wind Waker HD under their belts, they've
shown how to make high quality
games for the system, so here's hoping next year will be even better and they'll turn the dwindling sales around.
While I am excited about this
game, I hope that
3D world uses the Gamepad's second screen in other ways than just «oh you tap and it
shows some hidden stuff».
For these
games to be on the lists of top - selling
3DS games before they are released, it really
shows how poor the launch lineup has been for the handheld.
