In response to growing interest in establishing science policy fellowships and other methods to engage scientists in policy processes, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (
AAAS),
conducted a landscape
analysis of such activities around the world.
The dual efforts are an outgrowth of an 18 - month
analysis AAAS conducted and presented in February at its 2017 Annual Meeting in Boston.
AAAS partially filled this void by
conducting a quality and gap
analysis of two forensic disciplines (see below).
