The AE Mentor Program allows AEs who are new to REALTOR ® association management, or those who are experiencing challenges, to connect with seasoned AEs for guidance, advice, and support.
All local, state, regional, and MLS staff can participate in
the AE Mentor Program; it is not limited to chief staff executives.
AEs are matched with mentors through
the AE Mentor Database, which categorizes available mentors according to their location, demographics, and demonstrated skill set.
Even the National Association of REALTORS ® (NAR) has
the AE Mentor Program for association executives (AE) that need support, advice and guidance from more experienced AEs if they are facing challenges.
The 2012 initiatives accomplished by the AEC's four workgroups — Structural Audit, Organizational Structures, Chief Staff Executive Review, and
AE Mentor — were excellent.

AEs.
The main topics in which younger
AEs request guidance from their
mentors, according to RAE survey respondents, were career development, advice for how to handle difficult directors or officers, and specific program ideas, such as themes for successful REALTOR ® Political Action Committee fundraising events.
