thinking routines [available as PDFs from the educator resources page] are short, deceptively simple strategies that can be used in a variety of classroom settings to encourage these capacities.
In the coming months,
AbD will announce the launch of a national learning community and a corresponding website, and it will release its maker - centered
thinking routines — resources that can help teachers everywhere incorporate the maker ethos into their classroom plans.

AbD engaged in a program of action research with a partner group of practitioners in Oakland to develop a theoretical framework, a set of
thinking routines, and pictures of practice to support educators in helping students
think critically about the design of objects and systems.
