Recognition of the developments of Dr. Gardner's contribution began with his first book on this topic, Family Evaluation in Child Custody Litigation published in 1982, and it was followed by The Parental Alienation Syndrome and the Differentiation Between Fabricated and Genuine Child Sex Abuse in 1987.
Family court not recognizing parental alienation as abuse and not holding perjurers in contempt, allowing the slander of one parent by the other with no consequence, are not acting in the interest of the children they believe they are protecting.
Parental Alienation is child abuse and spousal abuse and should be punishable by law.
But if a parent inflicts child abuse in the form of Parental Alienation on her / his child they should be punished by the law.
