In general, it is a bad idea to have
academic economists in regulatory positions, because they
do not understand what they are
doing, but merely follow their ideology.

do), in this case, it showed that after adjusting for sectors and general economics (time), the states one was in
did not matter much, as those that
did well
did not move to seek lower tax environs.
In truth,
economists don't agree on any policy issue except free trade, as

With respect, the possibility of
academic criticism
does not make for democratic accountability; nor
does acceptance by a relevant expert community (if indeed «labour and employment lawyers» are the relevant expert community in relation to labour law — what about
economists, for instance?)
