Add the apple filling to the center of the dough, and fold and pleat it all the way around as you would if you were following the instructions below.

While this pie does take
added preparation time for the baking portion, I use a premade store bough graham cracker crust and also canned
apple pie
filling for two time - saving shortcuts.

Meanwhile while the dough rests in the refrigerator start to prepare the
filling, in a medium sized pot
add the butter and melt over low heat, then
add the brown sugar,
apples and cinnamon, stir to combine and continue to cook on low to low medium heat for approximately 10 - 15 minutes stirring often, then
add the cornstarch, stir to combine and continue to cook for approximately 3 - 5 minutes till thickened (will still be a little runny), remove from heat.
Make the
filling while the dough is chilling a final time - heat the butter in a large saucepan,
add the
apples and cook until they're just beginning to soften.
A tart
apple gives the pie a much needed bite, and the sweetness from an
apple like a fuji is not really needed thanks to the sugar already
added into the
filling.
For an even closer approximation of the regrettably non-vegan Polish original, one might
add some crumbled soft tofu to the
filling, with a dash of
apple cider vinegar.
Grated
apple is a neat trick to
add a binder to fruit pie
fillings.
I don't love things that are too sweet, but I just felt like it was a little on the very tart side and needed something to cut it; however, it could have been the
apples, so next time I make it, I will taste the
filling once cooked and
add additional sugar as needed to ensure the ratio is accurate.
Add an

fill the remaining calories and receive some extra nutrition!
While the dough is in the fridge prepare the
filling, in a medium pot
add butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and diced
apples, mix together and cook on low to medium heat for 5 minutes, cover and cook for another 5 minutes, stir the mixture occasionally and watch that it doesn't burn (at this point gently squish with a fork, but do not make a cream, leave diced
apples almost whole), if
apples are not soft continue to cook for another 5 minutes on low uncovered.

Add all the ingredients for the
apple filling to a food processor and pulse until the dates and
apples are diced into tiny pieces, but taking care not to over process.

This date - based, no - sugar -
added caramel sauce does double duty by sweetening both the
apple filling and the crumbly topping.
The other advantage to pre-cooking the
apple pie
filling is that you can taste it and
add any additional flavoring.
I decided to use homemade
apple sauce as a major ingredient in the
filling and
adding only a little more almonds in the
filling.
The base is made from ground almonds and walnuts, offering healthy fats and plant - based protein, while the
filling is composed of
apples and a small serving of
added sweetener from pomegranate molasses.
The
filling for this pie is your basic
apple pie
filling with some sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and lemon juice, with the
added punch of some pure maple syrup.
Another green super food option with no
added sugar, and
filled with kale, celery,
apple, spinach, and pineapple.
PREPARATION

They are
filled with natural flavour from the carrot,
apple and ginger but, being the spice junkie I am, I
added some dried warm spices to compliment that base.
The
filling was

apple and sugar process was repeated before baking.

If the

add more
apple sauce to make it more spreadable.
The molds we used are shown in the picture above and I like them because I can
add something to the middle, the center is hollow (and the manufacturer's website says they are BPA free:]), for example, we tried doing
apple pops (using juice) then
filled the center with homemade
apple sauce!

Add this to your morning ritual (many of our functional doctors swear by it): In a shot glass (you can use a normal glass but it might not feel as fun), combine the juice of one lemon, a splash of

Add fruit (pears,
apples, and bananas work especially well) to boost the nutrition and the
filling factor.
I'd stick with the bananas and
apples, and
add a
filling acne - friendly food in as well.
Apples are also
filled with important nutrients you always want to
add into your body.
I leave my crock pot on low,
filled with water and a bit of
apple cider vinegar (this helps to pull our minerals even better) and just
add the old veggies.
And now for the soup ~ I love a good hearty healthy soup when Autumn arrives and all through the winter and this Sweet Potato -
