Review Body: I too have made this dish a few times but I like to
add red pepper flakes while tossing the veggies for a punch of flavor.
I only used jalapenos because I am not a huge fan of spice (stupid reflux) but you could
totally add red pepper flakes or chili peppers if you wanted to take it up a notch.
I chop everything by hand as I like a chunky texture, but you can also add the fresh herbs to a food processor, pulse until fine,
then add the red pepper flakes, olive oil, and vinegar.
I
also added red pepper flakes to give it some kick, two bay leaves and more vegetables (potatoes and celery), as well as eliminating the fish and using just clams.
Some ideas are to chop up an onion and add that in (I would sauté it in olive oil first),
add some red pepper flakes for heat, some cooked and chopped bacon, paprika, more or different flavors of cheeses...
Warm the oil or ghee in a large saucepan over medium heat,
add red pepper flakes, onion and a pinch of salt and cook for 7 minutes, until translucent.
Add red pepper flakes and cook 1 minute.
Add the red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and garlic.
Add red pepper flakes and sweet vermouth.
Add the red pepper flakes; simmer for 10 more minutes.
Add the red pepper flakes and cook for another minute.
Add red pepper flakes and broccoli raab, and sauté 5 minutes, or until tender.
I love how
you added red pepper flakes and use the spinach as a puree!
If you like a little heat,
add red pepper flakes to your patties and serve with jalapeños for an added kick.
Do you suppose I could crush a couple cloves of garlic and
add some red pepper flakes to approximate it?
i do like a little more spice, so
i added red pepper flakes, fresh marjoram and thyme, red bell pepper and substituted sunflower seeds for the almonds.
I believe the suggestion to
add red pepper flakes would also be good as it was a tad bland.
I added red pepper flakes and seasoned with salt and pepper, and used mustard greens and fresh arugula from the CSA.
