I usually
soak oats in water or kefir and then
add coconut milk, toasted desiccated coconut, seeds, cinnamon, blueberries,
nut butter, cacao powder or anything else I can find.
You can activate the
nuts instead by
soaking and dehydrating them (this is the healthiest option), but it will be more difficult to get them to release their oils and achieve that creamy result (
adding a bit of oil usually helps in this case).
I
added walnuts, raisins (
soaked in rooibos tea), and almonds to half of the batter (divided household); they didn't need it but the
nuts were good.
If your raw cashews have not been
soaking in filtered water for at least 6 hours,
add them to a container with hot water and allow the
nuts to soften for at least 30 minutes.
Add the

Re:
adding nuts and seeds, I would
add in my wet, already
soaked nuts and seeds into the mixture at the beginning, then they can crisp up with everything else (I actually
soaked 1 C of sunflower seeds in with my oats last time and it turned out great).
Transfer the onions into a blender and
add the tomatoes,
soaked cashew
nuts and fresh basil.
Add the dried fruit (raisins /
soaked mulberries / goji berries) and any
nut butter that is called for, along with the maple syrup and coconut oil.
If you

If you don't have almond
nut butter
add soaked cashews instead (throw the cashews in water in the morning and make this in the afternoon).

While I always change - up the
add - ins (i.e. fruit,
nuts, coconut, citrus zest), the muffin base is always the same — oats
soaked in almond milk.
In all, you should experience several weeks free of digestive issues before you begin
adding things like sourdough bread,
soaked and sprouted flours, beans,
nuts, raw veggies, and most other healthy things you'd normally eat.
Another way to soften oats is to
soak them overnight in

Thoroughly rinse the
soaked cashew
nuts and
add them along with the other ingredients for the filling to the blender.

You could consider
adding soaked walnuts to your
nut milk... they have a higher omega 3 fat ratio than almonds and you could make chia pudding using your almond / walnut

If even after

nuts wouldn't turn to butter, then the only thing I could think of is they have been
soaked and not dried afterwards.
The
nuts expand slightly so check the
nuts from time to time and
add enough water to keep them
soaked during the entire
