While my experience was not a scientific study, I am about 98 % no - animal products before and
after adding nuts and seeds, around 3 ounces per day or more sometimes, and I look the same.

After reading the opening chapter I
added coconut oil and
nut butter to it and changed my milk to almond milk.
After they've cooked for about 20 - 25 minutes make the
nut cheese by simply
adding all of its ingredients into a food processor and blending for about 5 minutes, until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
To
add some additional flavor, and a bit of spice,
add 1/4 tsp of cayenne pepper, sprinkled over the top of the
nuts after coating with honey.
I omitted the Marmite and reserved the vegetables
after straining to

Blend all ingredients together, except for the grated apple, carrot and
nuts which you want to
add AFTER blending the rest of the ingredients (you do this to retain their texture; also, you don't want to blend the carrot in there and the apple and release all of their liquid, creating a kind of pureed mush).
After a few minutes is up,
add the sugar,
nut butter, maple syrup, earth balance, vanilla, salt & baking soda to your mixing bowl.
I tried
adding a small portion of the
nut mixture with the honey to get that processed first, but it won't budge at all, even
after cleaning out the bowl.
Since they really vary in size you may need to
add more or less —
after you pulse the dates and
nuts together in the food processor, take a pinch of the crust and taste it to see if it's sweet enough.
It's great for
adding coconut flavor and can serve other purposes, but not very useful as a thickening agent (
after all it's just tiny shavings of coconut that are hardly more absorbant than a

after each addition, until you achieve the consistency that you like.
I haven't
added anything other than
nut butter to my oatmeal in ages, but I knew I needed the extra calories to refuel
after my run.

You can customize by using different

nuts, rinse them under cold water and
add half of them to a blender, also
add 1/2 of the cold water (2 1/4 cups) and blend until well combined, then

Just
add to it the pine
nuts, nutritional yeast, miso, and maybe only 1/2 teaspoon salt (taste it

If you like your
nut butter chunky,
add extra chopped
nuts after your butter becomes creamy and smooth.
After looking through the ingredients we had on hand: frozen berries,
nuts, seeds, thread coconut and dark chocolate, all signs pointed towards a fruit crumble which isn't usually a dessert associated with the word decadent... unless you

adds extra volume and a light and crisp feeling to the granola.
