First and foremost, Agile methodologies don't require a lot of up - front training or process design to get started.

A major advantage of
Agile methodologies is that practitioners have had more than 25 years to test and codify what works and what doesn't.
Older
methodologies aren't necessarily outdated, and newer ones, like
Agile,
do not necessarily have to serve as wholesale replacements.
