You can choose to play music by clicking on
the AirPlay icon next to the volume controls.
When the video is selected and opened there will be options on the side, one of them should be
AirPlay icon (rectangle with triangle on the bottom).
After tapping on
the AirPlay icon, users can select the Apple TV they will stream on.
Instead, you can just tap
the AirPlay icon during audio or video playback (it looks like a TV with a triangle at the bottom), and then select your Apple TV from the device list.
You can also use these controls in the Music app on your iOS device; simply tap on Now Playing and then tap on
AirPlay icon to bring AirPlay devices.
Besides the music title, you will see
AirPlay icon on the top right corner.
But Apple's smartwatch does use
the AirPlay icon for its audio output.
You'll also find the trusted
AirPlay icon next to the music title.
Alternatively, you may also stream audio from individual AirPlay - supporting apps such as iTunes; simply click
the AirPlay icon (in iTunes, that would be to the right of the playback controls) and select your HomePod from the list of devices displayed.
So this is a really hidden feature, but if you tap on
the airplay icon in control center or music, you can control the HomePod from there without air playing.

AirPlay, users can press done on the video or go to the Apple TV
icon and press on the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch option instead.
