That's according to a patent leak which was picked up by Patently Mobile, and that describes a «Dual Wireless Charging Pad» that will presumably work much like
the AirPower charging pad — offering the ability to charge multiple devices at a time.
The company has since also revealed
the AirPower charging mat, which allows for simultaneous charging of an iPhone 8 or iPhone X, Apple Watch Series 3 and wireless charging case for the AirPod headphones.
Apple will launch
the AirPower charging mat in 2018, which unfortunately means that you'll have to use multiple charging pads until then.
Apple is also said to be sending extra units of
the AirPower charging mat that will be used as display and for demos at stores.
This of course has become apparent when Apple introduced
its AirPower charging mat during its press event for the new generation iPhones and Apple Watch.
Apple's
AirPower charging station does not have a release date yet, but the company has already teased that it is hitting the market next year.
With Apple's larger
AirPower charging pad, however, I think this will be less of a hassle.
There's no word yet on the price for
the AirPower charging mat, but Apple's website still claims it will be out sometime in 2018.
