But after reports that someone doing an aerial survey for bowhead whales in
Alaskan waters spotted around 10 bears swimming well offshore, the World Wildlife Fund distributed an unrelated picture (above) of a swimming bear, taken earlier this month, to drive home the idea that melting ice is making times tough up north.
