Altered cats need six winner's ribbons to earn the Premier title, and become eligible to compete against other Premiers for points toward the Grand Premiership Title.

Or, they can allow the public to tend to these colonies: provide some basic
needs for the
cats, and also allow them to
alter the
cats so they don't reproduce and create MORE community
cats.
There is no
need, as some believe, to allow a
cat or dog to have a litter before
altering.
If the
cats are healthy, then they have found a food source and just
need to be
altered and returned to the neighborhood.
People will be less likely to re-trap
altered / ear - tipped
cats unnecessarily as they already know that the
cat won't produce any kittens, and ear tipping allows people to focus on trapping
cats that are still in
need of spay / neuter.

cat is
altered, it's still our responsibility to make sure that his
needs are met.
They
need to be able to tell if an animal has already been
altered, so that they don't trap
cats and take them for unnecessary surgeries.
I would recommend them for anyone who
needed to get a dog or
cat altered.
You can help care for the
cats while here in our TNR room recovering from medical care and
altering (we
alter every
cat, but we also help them all with any injuries or medical care they
need before we release them).
Our primary veterinarian has agreed to
alter feral
cats as they are caught, at a reduced rate to expand our program and allow more
cats to be trapped (instead of trapping only the night before the designated monthly or weekly appointments) We
need donations to fund this important program for both the vetting expenses and additional traps.
Then they went to work trapping and
altering cats, providing other basic medical care as
needed, and returning them to their colonies.
However if you know the pH of your
cat's urine, it may be possible to modify what is being offered to your
cat in order to
alter the urine pH. There are supplements to both lower and or raise urine pH, but first you
need to know what the urine pH is.

By carefully observing
cats in the community, identifying new ones that
need to be
altered or may be adoptable, we can keep the population down and eventually see a true decline in the feral
cat population.
More immediately, I wondered how many feral
cats were in my neighborhood that
needed altering.
Once all community
cats have been
altered, people then
need to keep their eyes open for new
cats coming into the neighborhood.
