Section 1001.354 of the Texas Education Code contains the basic authorization for an
alternative delivery method (ADM) of a driving safety
course, and the requirements that are applicable to all driving safety
courses (including ADMs) are in TDLR's rules in Title 16 of the Texas Administrative Code Chapter 84.
A person or entity offering a driving safety
course or a specialized driving
course to Texas students by an
alternative delivery method must hold a driving safety school license.
There is a requirement to incorporate a validation process that verifies student participation and comprehension of
course material throughout the
Alternative Delivery Method.
If you fail to make the necessary changes in either the
course or
Alternative Delivery Method, they will not be approved, and the fee or fees will not be refunded.
