Incomes for the wealthiest 1 percent
of Americans nearly tripled from 1979 to 2007, far outpacing
income growth for all other
groups, said a new report that underscored sharply increased U.S.
income disparity.
«What's more, while every
American's health is threatened by climate change, certain
groups of people — including children, seniors, low -
income communities, and those living with a chronic disease like asthma — are especially vulnerable,» the statement read.
