The console includes a number of new features not found in the current 3DS models, such as support for Nintendo's
Amiibo toy line, reworked shoulder buttons, a second analog stick (finally!)
Another surprise announcement came in the form of Nintendo's interactive
Amiibo toy line.
They included the old way, but in a reduced capacity that is directly tied into
the amiibo toy line... so it's here, just in a way that most people are not going to be happy about.

The next reveal was Nintendo revealing their
toys - to - life
line called
Amiibo.
Third - party companies have been no stranger to Nintendo's
line of
toys - to - life figures in the past, from Yacht Club Games with its Shovel Knight
amiibo to Capcom with Monster Hunter Stories.
You can only scan in each
amiibo once daily, but luckily, there's no shortage of variety in the Legend of Zelda
line of
toys.
Late last year, Nintendo surprised consumers all over the world with their
toys - to - life product
line, the
Amiibo.
Seeing her friends on a nearby rooftop, she slides her Joy - Con controllers onto her Switch console while the frame gives us a look at her
amiibo collection, likely implying Switch compatibility with Nintendo's popular
line of
toys - to - life figures.

line of
toys, with the only odd -
Amiibo out being the classic Mario released as part of the character's 30th anniversary.
The future is looking bright for Nintendo's
toy business, but we'll have to wait and see what
Amiibo plans the company has
lined up for later this year in order to keep the momentum going.

toys comes by way of ThinkGeek, the merchandise outfit owned by GameStop, and are due to launch on March 23.
These figures, part of the initial 12 - character run of Nintendo's
Amiibo line of interactive
toys, were only released a couple of weeks ago.
Skylanders might have popularized the concept of
toys - to - life, but Nintendo almost perfected it with its
line of Super Smash Bros.
amiibo, because unlike Skylanders, Lego Dimensions, and Disney Infinity's (RIP)
toys - to - life figures,
amiibo usually have functionality outside their respective games.

During the Smash Bros presentation, they also discussed their new
line of
toys similar to the Skylanders or Disney Infinity figurines, called
Amiibos.

Amiibo toys will release March 20 with Mario, Luigi, Toad, Peach, Yoshi and Bowser.
