analyzed genetic
material on 80 $ 1
bills and found roughly 3,000 types
of organisms, including bacteria linked to pneumonia, food poisoning and staph infections.
The Louisiana
bill calls for, «an environment within public elementary and secondary schools that promotes critical thinking skills, logical analysis, and open and objective discussion
of scientific theories being studied including... global warming...» The
bill also calls for «instructional
materials to help students understand,
analyze, critique, and review scientific theories in an objective manner.»
