Fossil's new Q Venture and Q Explorist both run on
Android Wear 2.0 software, making these the two latest Fossil -
branded smartwatches from the Fossil Group which come with Google's wearable OS.
Android Wear 2.0 is still struggling to take off, but with fashion
brands and conventional watchmakers jumping on the bandwagon, the market landscape might change in the near future.

Android Wear 2.0 timepieces unveiled of late by traditional fashion
brands either, though the Porsche Design edition will need to confront the likes of the Montblanc Summit, Tag Heuer Connected Modular 45 or Movado Connect.
It might not carry a Pixel or Nexus
branding, but they are accompanying
Android Wear 2.0 to showcase its best features, and the Watch Sport in particular packs all the right hardware to take advantage of the new platform.

brand new name change.

While Google's focus has been on its
Android Wear operating system for wrists, Samsung has pushed through several smart bands under the Gear
brand.
For a while now, it seems like companies that have the biggest interest in
Android Wear are that of fashion
brands.
Android Wear comes in all different shapes and sizes and
brands.
Movado Group, a well - recognized fashion
brand in watches, is joining the
Android Wear family this month with the launch of a «smartwatch collection» that will be
branded as Movado Connect.
