This is a cloth diaper wrap, meaning the diaper cover's wings will wrap around baby and secure with
Aplix tabs to the front panel of the diaper cover.
The kit comes with instructions, laundry tabs,
aplix tabs, and leg elastic.
It did not rub on her umbilical cord stump if I angled
the aplix tabs down at the center.

When the
aplix fasteners aren't stuck to the laundry
tabs then they can cause your cloth diapers to become pilly or make diaper chains.
One important thing when washing PUL diaper covers is making sure you use the laundry
tabs on the
aplix versions.
The
aplix is starting to look really pilly, some of the laundry
tabs do not work, some
tabs are curling back, and the stretchy
tabs get pilly from the
aplix.
There is a way to remedy to problems with
aplix and laundry
tabs though.
I think the worst thing about cloth diaper covers with
aplix are when you get cheap
aplix or poorly made laundry
tabs.
If you wash your diaper covers with
aplix and it doesn't stick to the laundry
tabs, it becomes a nightmare.

aplix closures to the laundry
tabs.
The
aplix is not very strong and frequently comes undone from the laundry
tabs in the wash (though performs fine on the baby).
If your diapers are equipped with hook and loop style fasteners (
aplix, velcro) you will want to secure the
tabs so you do not create a «diaper train.»

Don't worry about
Aplix in the laundry - each diaper cover has fold - over laundry
tabs sewn in to secure the
tabs while washing.
Once that first wash is done, I check to be sure the inserts have come out of any pocket diapers, and if there are any Velcro or
Aplix closure diapers in the load, I double check that the fold - back
tabs are still secured so I don't end up with a big chain of diapers stuck together.

When throwing your dirty diapers in your diaper pail (or before washing), always unfold your diapers, remove the inserts from pocket diapers and don't forget to fold down the
aplix (Velcro) onto the laundry
tabs so they don't catch onto your other diapers.
Aplix / velcro diapers would be fastened to laundry
tabs and you could just round the edges over and place them top down so that the crotch (I actually used a thesaurus and could not find a synonym, but it's such a weird word!)
