So, I recreated my favourite
apple salad and present the recreation to you
here.
Although I kept the
salad plain and simple this time, I imagine the same sort of extras that you'd find in curried chicken
salad (grapes, raisins and / or chopped
apples) would all be welcome additions
here as well.
Here's what we had in the
salad: 500 g cabbage 5 cm piece of leek, cut in small pieces 3 teaspoons dried dill 3 - 4 teaspoons
apple cider vinegar 1 tablespoon canola oil freshly ground black pepper 1 teaspoon sugar 1/2 -1 teaspoon salt First, I -LSB-...]
Apples: Since this is an overall sweet fruit
salad, you'll want to use a good tart
apple here.

Here are some suggestions for substitutions for those ingredients... chickpeas: any other bean you like / can eat cherries: blueberries or strawberries avocados: this is the toughest one, but you can try subbing cashew cream (soaked cashews blended with water) for the avocado in the
salad dressing and pudding cauliflower: Brussels sprouts or broccoli
apple: pear, orange, or pineapple sunflower seeds: almonds or any other nut (this would make the cleanse no longer nut - free, but if you know you have no sensitivity to nuts, it's no big deal) Hope that helps!

That
salad and a bowl (normal soup bowl, about a cup and a quarter) of cooked beans of some sort, plus maybe a banana or
apple or two
here and there is enough to keep me satisfied for a full day, but there are days when all I get is the
salad and the fruit and I'm still fine.
And since what is really important is what we eat in total,
here is a screenshot of the same analysis of a «meal» consisting of 1 cup of brown rice, 1 cup black beans, 1 cup cooked carrots, 6 cups of romaine lettuce (I like big
salads), and a large
