The story of Batman: Arkham Knight picks off from
Arkham City where after the death of the Joker, Batman is struggling to come to terms with the lack of his arch nemesis.
It is set one year after the events of
Arkham City where Batman is at the peak of his power and several villians invade Gotham City to take him down.
This is in stark contrast to say, Batman
Arkham City where I have to grab a patch from the internet to let me finish all the side missions after the story ends, meaning that once the servers get shut off (and need I remind anyone that NO server lives forever?)

Allow me to break this down as much as I can, Batman Origins plays and looks a lot like
Arkham City, and this is great if you loved
City because it is more of the same, and yes that is
where the «problem» lays right there, it is more of the same basically.
Arkham City does expand on gameplay though with an all new upgrade system
where you are able to learn techniques or boost armor resistance each time you gain a level.
