The prize of $ 7,500 was
awarded by a
jury of international curators and director, including Sarah McCrory (Director, Glasgow International, U.K.), Pavel Pys (Curator of Visual

Art, Minneapolis, USA) and Gabriel Ritter (Curator of Contemporary
Art, Minneapolis Institute of
Art, USA).
The prizes were
awarded by a
jury of leading museum directors and curators including: Suzanne Cotter (Director, Serralves Museum, Porto), Reto Thüring (Curator of Contemporary
Art, Cleveland Museum of
Art) and Philippe Pirotte (Curator, la Biennale de Montréal 2016 and Director of Städelschule, Frankfurt am Main).
Teixeira is represented in several
art collections, and he has been the recipient of a Fulbright Grant, Samuel Booth
Award, D'Arcy Hayman
Award, Gulbenkian Foundation / FLAD Grant, Fuso Video Festival
