Porter has been the subject of solo exhibitions at institutions including the Museum of Modern Art, the Museo de Arte Moderno in Bogotá, Panama's Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, and the Museo de Arte Moderno in Cali, Colombia.
Throughout her life, she staged a mere three solo shows in her native country: two in 1950, one at the Asociación Brasileña de Prensa (ABI) in Rio de Janeiro and another at the Museo de Arte Moderno de São Paulo; plus a final 1956 exhibition mounted at the Rio Museo de Arte Moderno.
