His most recent stint in the States began in July of this year, when he returned to New York City as part of the Triangle Arts Association's six - month artist residency program.
You was an artist in residence at Ace Hotel, New York, Marble House Project, Dorset, Atlantic Center for the Arts, New Smyrna Beach, Triangle Arts Association, Brooklyn and Künstlerhaus Schloss Balmoral in Bad Ems, Germany.
A gift to the museum from Ella Fontanals - Cisneros (who supported the commissioning of the work along with Vizcaya, Walker Art Center and the A Foundation), Triangle of Need joins another epic video work based partially in Miami, Doug Aitken's sleepwalkers (Miami), in the Museum's collection - along with videos by such artists as Cory Arcangel, Wangechi Mutu, Raymond Pettibon and Miguel Angel Rios.
