Composed of 25 works, which include paintings, sculpture,
prints, works with paper, and installations, the
exhibition explores a range of issues that have occupied Grabner since she started her creative career, such as the history of painting in relation to the present, the relationship of centre to periphery, the significance of routine in life and in
art, and the integration of work into family life and vice versa.
In the Parrish Perspectives
exhibition «Joe Zucker: Life & Times of an Orb Weaver,» the Parrish
Art Museum is showing drawings,
prints and constructed paintings of spiders and their webs, imagery a bit more mainstream than one might imagine at first glance.
This past year my work has been included in
exhibitions at the 2012 New York Photo Festival (Brooklyn, NY), South Hill Park
Arts Centre (Bracknell, UK), Artspace New Haven (CT), Galerie Jeanroch Dard (Paris, France) and most recently a solo
exhibition, The Dubious Sum of Vaguely Discernable Parts, at the Bindery Projects in St. Paul, Minnesota which included a series of text based drawings, a photo installation and ephemeral
print publication of images and writings.
