While I am
as guilty of stalking
travel bloggers and their pretty pictures
as much
as the next person,
there's a real - life problem that arises with this destination du jour exposure: overtourism.
It was an adventure in itself to gather the best of the best,
as so many adventure
travel bloggers are out
there sharing their photos and tales of amazing trips.
I have never ever considered what colour skin they have and only now that this article discusses race
as being an issue,
there is probably an accurate and representative range of nationalities amongst my family
travel blogger following — not just white families!
I want to build a blog that's committed to keeping it real, promoting responsible
travel, and digging a little deeper than the pretty surfaces (and occasionally talking about politics because WE GIVE A SHIT), as well as featuring those better bloggers, lifting up the voices of underrepresented travelers through our Voices of Travel series, and publishing work on destinations that is written by people who live there through our Like a Local s

I was interested to see on Wandering Earl's blog (Derek was one of a handful of
travel bloggers brought to South Africa on a tour in 2012) that South Africa is «up
there» with Asia, Central America (the Spanish speaking world), Mexico, and European countries like Turkey (bar Istanbul), Georgia, Azerbaijan, Poland and Lithuania
as a place where you can still hope to
travel for $ 1000 or less per month.
There are of course many
bloggers (EuropeUpClose, GoSeeWrite, etc...) and
travel magazines I really like to read from such
as The Expeditioner.
Some of the really successful
travel bloggers of today started out six or seven years ago, when
there was less competition, and they could make a name
as adventure
travel bloggers or budget
travel bloggers.
Especially
as a
travel blogger, inbetween all those adventures,
there are weeks where I'm sitting on my butt.

As a newbie
travel blogger (and a female solo traveler, but that has been going on for years), I really love this list —
there were a lot of blogs I didn't know about.
Defining the line of «who is in and who is out» for these articles has been challenging
as there are a diverse range of
travel bloggers out
there.
For the first edition I had a criteria that to be included that a blog needed to include content about either Australia or New Zealand in the previous 12 months, however upon further reflection I have decided to discontinue this element
as there are many great
travel bloggers who call Australia and New Zealand home who are on multi-year
travels who should be included.
So
there you have it, 28 of the best beaches
as recommended by
travel bloggers.
Some weeks I will be setting the questions, I also have fellow
travel bloggers lined up
as guest hosts and hopefully,
there will be some sponsored chats in the future, maybe even some prizes for the best answers.
It was an adventure in itself to gather the best of the best,

there is great money to be made in providing services to destination marketing organizations and
travel companies such
as: — Photography — Writing — Videography — Blogger outreach — Content creation — Training and consulting
There will also be contests such
as a win an all - expenses - paid breakfast with the
blogger or influencer of your choice, where you can ask any question related to
travel hacking.
It's been a little slow going in terms of creating consistent content and putting our feelers out
there, but I'm hoping with some regular attention in many areas (
as you mentioned, social media, guest blogging, networking with other
travel bloggers, etc.) I can help my tiny seedling grow.

there were at the first (or the fact that I was probably one of the oldest
bloggers there?!)
Is my visited - country count

as some of the «famous»
travel bloggers out
there with 50 + countries on their resume?

as travel blogging rapidly expands and the really successful
bloggers get even bigger,
there will be a tendency for people to join in and expect press trips at the drop of a hat.

There are various sessions held throughout the two days of conferences, with some of the biggest
travel bloggers and experts in the field
as speakers.
There is an ever growing network now of
travel bloggers who all use twitter both
as a network to promote their
travel blog, but also to get to know others within the
travel and / or
travel blogging communities.
I was
there to consider the value in sending American children to other countries
as part of the White House
Travel Bloggers Summit.
While for the most part I think
travel bloggers are doing amazing things, it needs to be noted
there are plenty of duds out
there who are risking our reputation
as a whole.
