Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician Certification (ALAT) through American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS).
They have three different certifications for vet techs including
the Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT), Laboratory Animal Technician (LAT), and Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG).
You'll be able to work your way through these three certification levels: 1)
Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT), 2) Laboratory Animal Technician (LAT), and finally 3) Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG).
Graduates of the program are eligible for licensure as a certified veterinary technician and can sit for
the Assistant Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) certification exam.
